Review : So far so good, but research what you need
I just received this scope a few days ago. I plan to use it to help in replacing some wiring in an old house. And what the heck, its another cool toy.
So far so good. The image, screen size, weight, etc is what I expected. I like that you can charge the monitor and the handle at the same time. The kit comes with everything you need, including the mini-SD card.
On my research point - there are actually three different versions of this same General Tools Inspection System. Each comes with a different sized probe (camera): 5MM, 9MM, and 12MM. The product number is appended with 05 and 09 for the 5MM and 9MM respectively. This version (no -05 or -09 in the product number) comes with a 12MM CLOSE FOCUS probe. This is important. This probe is designed for focus at about 0.5" to 5". Thus the reason people are complaining that you must be close to the object for good focus. I ordered and tested a FAR FOCUS 12MM probe ($78) on a 3 ft cable. The GT part number is P230-1F...
