Review : Needs a better box for shipping
I am a fan of both Amazon and Festool. But in this case, they are not a great combination. I read the other review here about shipping damage and ignored it because my experience with Amazon is that, if anything, they over-package things. Small items come in boxes that are five times larger than the product. I received one package that was a box inside a box inside a box. Additionally, everything I have that's made by Festool--and I own almost every tool they sell--has proven extremely durable. In this case, however, both of the Systainer Ports I ordered arrived with dents. The box just doesn't provide enough protection. (It's possible that the units were damage enroute to Amazon and not while being shipped from Amazon to me.) I have no complaints about the product itself. It does exactly what you want it to do and looks great.
