I purchased the mat because our garage floor does not slope toward the outside. It slopes towards the inside of the house. The water traveled down the wall in the winter when the snow would melt off of our vehicles. After I got the mat the water stayed inside the confines of the mat. I have a giant squeege that I use to get the water out the front of the garage. We get a lot of snow in the winter, therefore a lot of water when it melts in the garage. This is my second mat. The first one lasted four years and holes wore in it. It is very easy to assemble. There are two thicknesses available and I recommend spending the extra for the thicker version. It is more durable.
