Review : Better than Sears Craftsman
I wanted to upgrade from my Sears Craftsman 26" cabinet, & based on reviews & manufacturer's info, this looked like the best cabinet for me. I had the Sears model with 11 drawers & two locks. It was a decent cabinet, but too expensive for what I got. The "effortless" drawer glides on the Sears were not effortless at all (they weren't the ball-bearing type). Two of the smaller drawers ended up broken after 5-6 years of light use, & couldn't close properly, so the main cabinet lock wouldn't work (due to interference from the partly open drawers). Also, the "stainless steel" Sears cabinet strongly attracted a magnet (which, as another reviewer on amazon pointed out, means that there is high iron content, in turn meaning that you can expect rust sooner or later, although I did not have that problem myself; my unit was inside my house).
PROS: This unit is better made than the Craftsman, & for its size & features, it's a good value for the price. The ball-bearing drawers open...
